Joyce Converse
Over the last decade Joyce has focused mainly on plein air landscape in oil.  Joyce uses her work to continually learn from and also translates her life experience into two dimensions.  Her work is in private collections across the country.  You can view a large selection of her pieces in the main dining room near our stone fireplace and community table at the Davenport Roadhouse Restaurant & Inn.

Barbara Makanowitzky
A distinguished author, Barbara also expresses her creativity in another medium with pastel.  Barbara’s main characters in her framed pastels are the ocean. “When I see the sea roiling, and I like it that way, I don’t like the calm- I find so many patterns.”  Come in and view Barbara’s pieces today in the dining room.

Jody Bare linocut wearable art
Jody Bare was introduced to her meduim when she was nine by her mother. In graduate school at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, she minored in Textile Design. Together with her family she moved to Santa Cruz in 1983. Today she prints designs of flowers, shells, and geometric motifs for art to wear, and prints more detailed story blocks on paper, matted and framed. Her art continues to evolve but she has not waivered from her original linocut medium.

Bennett Beads
Alissa Bennett designs and creates original beaded jewelry with gemstones,crystals, Sterling Silver, and various metals.  She has been recognized around the country for her unique gemstone beaded rings. Alissa moved to Santa Cruz in 2006 where she has continued to expand her jewelry business.She uses natural stones to create a wide variety of designs that vary from elegant and classic, to funky and casual. Currently she is focused on a more  elegant line that is appropriate for weddings and bridesmaids gifts. She also enjoys doing custom work to create the perfect piece for that special occasion.

Dana Spanierman Jewelry and Leather Accessories
Dana is a Santa Cruz resident who brings us unique treasures from Thailand. She has a keen eye for design developed over many years in the retail industry. When doing business in Thailand, where she travels extensively, supporting the local artisans socially and economically is an important business and personal value. We invite you to come and admire the beautiful craftsmanship of these select items in our store. 

Bonny Doon Farms
From this very local farm we carry a wide variety of hand made soaps and bath products. These products are also used in our rooms; so if you like what you used it is available down stairs in our store for purchase! Bonny Doon also runs a fantastic winery and holds daily tasting and wine tours at their farm just 15 minutes south.

Isvara Organics
A locally owned green company whose line of bath products are hand made of certified organic ingredients. Beautifully bottled in glass with products like an Orange Mint Toner and Honey and Flowers cleansing gel, this line is a great way to pamper yourself!

A local from Davenport, Frank has been capturing the natural beauty of our surrounding area for years and his best works are featured here at the Roadhouse in a wide variety of very affordable postcards.
