Outings

Do you like to get out in the fresh air to explore and learn about our incredible natural surroundings here on the central coast? The Roadhouse will be organizing outings from time to time, such as guided mushroom walks and hunts, tide-pooling to learn about the edibles that can be found there, and trips to area wineries. Our staff is also local, so we can guide you towards the activities to simply not miss on your visit. Contact us if you would like us to help you plan a private event.

The Davenport Roadhouse Wild Diners' Club will offer special events year round. In the works: a Wild Foraging Dinner. This will include a plant and herb walk, demonstrations of making tea from the plants and herbs collected from the wild, a private tour of the Roadhouse property, including the restaurant, inn and natural kitchen garden followed by a special Wild Foraging dinner. On the left is a photo of a plant and herb walk that took place in January, as part of a special foraging event that culimated in an incredible 5-course dinner from the sea, prepared by Chef Cameron Werry.
